HeartMath™

HeartMath™

Performance vs. Pressure

There is an incontestable relationship between performance and pressure. Too little pressure and an individual fails to perform at their potential (rust out), too much and we see a drop in performance and the development of non-specific health problems, loss of attention and falling motivation (burn out). Individual tolerance levels to pressure vary, but we all have a ‘breaking point’.

The HeartMath™ technique brings about (a) a conscious awareness of the ideal state for peak performance and (b) a sustainable technique for reaching that peak state.

What are some of the benefits of using the HeartMath™ Technique?

Independent scientific validation conducted by CDR in the UK demonstrates that HeartMath™ improves cognitive function (episodic memory) and additional research findings and case studies demonstrate significant improvements in reducing indicators such as blood pressure and anxiety. Furthermore, evidence gathered from training over 30,000 executives world-wide shows that measured improvements in performance and well-being are sustainable over at least a 12 month period.

At Koru International we run HeartMath™ half-day workshops integrated as part of our solution programmes.

The HeartMath™ technique aims to equip our clients with a long term ‘muscle memory’, allowing them to build and continue to build resilience to normally stressful situations at work. Add to this a greater physiological resilience so that higher performance is achieved over prolonged periods of time.

HeartMath™ in major organisations

The desire to improve Cognitive, Emotional and Physiological fitness is why HeartMath™ has been adopted by many organisations world-wide to improve the performance and general well-being of their staff. In the UK these companies include GSK, Shell, BP, Unilever and Hewlett-Packard.
